ABOUT CNI

Background

Community Needs Initiative (CNI) is a national non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization established and registered with the Relief Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) in 2015 under registration number 161. CNI aims at contributing to the communities through humanitarian and developmental activities. The organization was established to serve the deprived and vulnerable groups of people with community driven projects/activities such as increasing access to sustainable Healthcare, Women and youth empowerment, Gender Equality, Peacebuilding, Education, Food Security and Livelihood, and Environmental Protection. The organization is fully operational in one administrative area of Pibor and three states of Central Equatoria, Eastern Equatoria and Western Bahr El Gazal with five field offices (Torit, Budi, Lafon, Wau, Pibor) of and active community liaison volunteers.

Legal Status

CNI is fully registered with RRC (No.161) as a National NGO since 2015 and a Member of South Sudan NGO Forum.
